As the Program Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to support overall student development.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to, coordinating the graduate program to ensure graduate students reach important milestones (e.g., coordinate admissions, provide guidance to students, schedule master’s exams and PhD defenses, collect and compile data for annual review, and serve as a liaison to the Graduate School).
You will be responsible for the academic coordination needed for the department to offer sociology training to undergraduates, schedule courses, add or drop students from courses, assign classrooms, oversee course evaluations, and scholarship and award applications.
To ensure smooth functioning of the department, additional job responsibilities include general office and administrative support (e.g., filing, database management, processing annual reviews, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and other duties as assigned).
