Requirements
Experience in clinical Quality and Safety, physician management, clinical integration, clinical program, and service-line deployment focused on growth and improved clinical outcomes.
Previous experience in leveraging electronic medical records systems and contemporary methods of clinical quality measurement and improvement.

Responsibilities
The Regional Chief Clinical Officer is the senior-most physician executive for Jefferson’s East Region and the operational leader accountable regional clinical quality, safety, and performance across a growing, multi-hospital region within one of the nation’s largest non-profit academic health systems.
A member of the East Region leadership team and a key member of the system Chief Clinical Officer Cabinet, this leader translates enterprise clinical strategy into local execution—leading physicians and clinical operations across the region and partnering with regional operational, nursing, and enterprise leaders to deliver exceptional, equitable, and reliable care, standardize evidence-based practice, advance value-based care, and strengthen the recruitment, retention, and engagement of clinical talent.
Serves as the senior-most physician leader for the East Region and a member of the East Region leadership team, providing hands-on operational leadership for clinical quality, safety, and physician performance across the region’s hospitals and ambulatory sites, and partnering in a physician–operations dyad with regional and nursing leadership to set and execute the clinical agenda.
As a key member of the system Chief Clinical Officer Cabinet, translates enterprise clinical, quality, and safety strategy into regional execution and brings regional insight back to the enterprise, helping shape system-wide standards while leveraging the scale, complexity, and network of one of the nation’s largest non-profit health systems to grow clinical programs and respond to community needs.
Builds and empowers a multidisciplinary regional team, hospital and medical staff leadership, associate medical directors, quality and safety staff, and employed and aligned physicians across hospitals and ambulatory sites—with results measured through clinical excellence, seamless transitions of care, patient, physician, and colleague experience, and the outcomes of regulatory and accreditation reviews.
Identifies and leads regional opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, process measures, resource utilization, patient-centered care coordination, patient experience, and the overall value of care, using evidence-based guidelines and clinical tools to reduce unwarranted variation and optimize results.
