Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years of experience of Fire Protection System Design with emphasis on automatic sprinkler systems, fire pump design and foam systems
NICET Water-Based Systems Layout Certification is asset
Proficiency in the use of SprinkCALC, HydraCALC or similar
REVIT design experience is an asset
Knowledge of FM Global Requirements as related to fire protection is an asset

Responsibilities
Manage fire protection maintenance and inspection schedule
Review design drawings for sprinkler systems, fire pumps, special suppression systems including foam systems and others as necessary
Plan and direct engineering activities with a high degree of contractor engagement
Act as the owner’s representative for fire protection systems on site
Support emergent needs such as witnessing testing, commissioning, systems reviews, code support.
Prepare and present technical reports for the client

Jensen Hughes has a job opportunity for an early-career to mid-level Fire Protection Consultant with a sprinkler systems background. This position is based in our Burnaby, British Columbia office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and exposure to automatic sprinkler systems and fire pump design.
