Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for the initiation and provision of treatment,
urgent and non-urgent patients via air and, in some locales, land, and the completion of relevant documentation.

disease, overdose and poisoning victims, industrial accident victims and other ill or injured individuals to determine emergency medical treatment.\u00A0 The incumbent will administer pre-hospital emergency care to patients such as oxygen therapy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), spinal immobilization, bandaging, splinting, intravenous (IV) treatments, and adjunctive equipment for ventilation and circulation.
\u00A0 In addition, the incumbent will provide critical care treatment and intervention to patients in the pre-hospital and inter-facility settings, including but not limited to advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, initiation and maintenance of pharmaceutical infusions, administration of blood and blood products, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support and the provision of care to high risk obstetrical and neonatal patients.\u00A0
