Responsibilities

The DEXA Technician performs bone density (DXA) scans to assess bone health and support the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions such as osteoporosis.

This role ensures high-quality imaging, accurate data collection, and a positive patient experience while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Perform dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA/DXA) scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols

Accurately position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality, diagnostic images

Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the exam, answering questions, and ensuring comfort and safety

Review and verify patient information, physician orders, and exam requirements prior to imaging
