Requirements
Experience creating multimedia content in major newsrooms.
Proficiency with industry-standard tools for video and audio production.
Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt complex topics for a variety of platforms (YouTube, TikTok, thestar.com, Apple podcasts, etc.) and understand how best to serve the audience on each platform.

Responsibilities
This is a unique opportunity to produce engaging video and audio content and elevate our storytelling.
This role is at the forefront of the Star’s commitment to audience-first journalism.
As a Multimedia Journalist, you will collaborate with reporters, editors, producers, and the broader digital team to create content that informs, engages, and inspires our diverse audience.
This role falls within the Journalist classification in the Star's Editorial Department.
Create short videos featuring Star journalists explaining their reporting.
Produce interview videos, explainers, and other multimedia content that enhances audience understanding of key stories.
