Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team in a hybrid contract manufacturing and consultative design environment.

This role reports directly to the Site Controller and plays a key part in supporting both manufacturing operations and business development efforts.

The Cost Accountant will partner closely with cross-functional teams to analyze current product costs, evaluate sales data, and develop accurate pricing models for new business opportunities.

3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Experience in contract manufacturing or design-to-build environments is a plus

Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting

Analyze and maintain standard costs for products, including materials, labor, and overhead

Partner with manufacturing teams to review production processes, identify cost drivers, and recommend efficiencies

Evaluate current cost structures and sales data to support pricing strategies and profitability analysis

Develop detailed cost estimates and pricing models for new business proposals and customer quotes

Monitor and report on cost variances, including material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to inventory and cost accounting
