Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient

Requires a Doctorate of Pharmacy or Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy with an advanced degree, and a PGY1 pharmacy residency or at least three years of equivalent work experience preferred

Experience in direct supervision of technical support staff for clinical and/or service and operational programs is desirable.

Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

As a Clinical Pharmacist on the Operations team, you will be highly integrated at the front-line of medication production, verification, and distribution, with oversight of technician workflow in the central inpatient pharmacy and sterile compounding suites.

Operational Responsibilities

Reviews and processes medication orders, evaluating for appropriateness and compliance with hospital and accreditation standards, and state/federal regulations

Identifies medication related safety events, reports errors, and provides recommendations for process improvement

Assists central pharmacy staff, technicians, and purchasing team with supply chain management, medication shortages, and safe distribution of medication to admitted patients

Triages medication related concerns with decentralized clinical pharmacists to optimize patient care and minimize delays in medication delivery
