Responsibilities
As a Hardware Validation Engineer at Pure Storage, you will ensure the legendary reliability and performance of our next-generation high-performance storage systems. You will serve as the final gatekeeper of hardware integrity, bridging the gap between initial design and global manufacturing by driving rigorous board- and system-level validation. Collaborating closely with JDM partners and cross-functional engineering teams, your mission is to harden our x86-based platforms against the most demanding enterprise workloads, ensuring our customers never have to worry about downtime.
Own the Validation Lifecycle: Design and execute comprehensive validation strategies for x86-based storage platforms, moving products from initial design through manufacturing readiness and into sustaining support.
Architect Automated Workflows: Develop and enhance Python-based automation frameworks to streamline test execution and result reporting, increasing the speed and accuracy of hardware qualification.
Drive System Hardening: Conduct deep-dive failure and root-cause analysis on complex hardware issues, transforming raw data from stress tests (PTAT, FIO, iPerf) into actionable engineering fixes.
Ensure Supply Chain Resilience: Lead sustaining qualification tests for new components to maintain a robust, high-quality production portfolio without compromising system performance.
