Requirements
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an attorney at a law firm or with an in-house legal department, ideally with exposure to complex commercial or project finance matters.
Experience advising clients with respect to project finance and development matters involving utility-scale wind, utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and gas projects.
Responsibilities
Counsel will advise and work with management and project teams as Clearway positions itself to capture emerging opportunities in utility-scale wind, utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and gas segments of the energy industry.
This hybrid position reports to an Assistant General Counsel and may be in any of our Denver, San Francisco, San Diego, or Scottsdale offices.
Review, interpret, draft, and negotiate project documents such as power purchase agreements
Review, interpret, draft, and negotiate financing documents, including tax equity structures, debt financing, and cash equity financing
Represent the company in acquisitions and dispositions
Supervise outside counsel, as necessary
