Multi Purpose Veterinary Assistant

High school diploma or equivalent required

Interest in veterinary medicine; no prior animal care experience preferred

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (as required in emergency medicine)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure

Physical ability to lift 40+ pounds and stand for extended periods

As an MPA, you will support veterinarians and technicians in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient hospital environment. As this is considered an introductory role, you can look forward to learning some of the following, among others:

Assist with examinations, treatments, and procedures

Practice safe restraint techniques for exams, diagnostics, and treatments

Cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments

Cleaning and stocking of exam rooms, treatment areas, and kennels

Assist with laboratory sample collection and processing
