Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CCSP, AWS/Azure security associate) are desirable.

3–5 years of hands-on experience in information security, with emphasis on security reviews, architecture support, or secure design.

Working knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), risk assessment methods, and compliance requirements.

Practical experience with network security,

firewall

rules, endpoint protection, cloud platforms, and identity management.

Responsibilities

As a Mid-Level Security Architect, you will support the GIS Security Architecture team by executing day-to-day security reviews, approvals, and design tasks that ensure corporate infrastructure and applications

remain

secure, compliant, and aligned with established reference architectures. Reporting to the Senior Director of Security Architecture, you will handle high-volume ticket queues,

participate

in architecture and AI committee reviews, and contribute to reference architecture maintenance and special projects.

This role is remote within the US, but we are prioritizing candidates based in Mountain/Pacific time for team alignment.
