Project Manager - Institutional Construction

Required:

Post-secondary education degree or diploma in a construction related area of study.

Minimum of eight (8) years of direct project management work experience working in institutional / ICI construction.

Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.

In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and company operations specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures.

Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

Brief Overview

:

The Project Manager reports to the Senior Project Manager and is accountable for the overall project performance, planning and development including, cost, quality, safety, and schedule. They maintain excellent relationships with owner, designer, consultants, and subcontractors. The Project Manager provides leadership and mentorship to the project team.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for all contract document, Request for Information, Site Instruction, and Submittal controls and distribution procedures. Ensures all project correspondence and records are properly managed and maintained by the team.

Collaborates with the superintendent to establish the major construction work plans and engineering methods. Provides input to the method from a cost perspective.
