Requirements
2–4 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
1–2 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience focusing on CNC machining and/or sheet metal fabrication.
Strong understanding of process cycle times, material and geometry limitations, and cost optimization.
Experience collaborating with suppliers, OEMs, and customers.
3D CAD modeling software
(SolidWorks preferred).
Responsibilities
The DFM Engineer will collaborate closely with customers across various industries — including aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, and medical devices — to evaluate manufacturability, optimize designs, and ensure successful project delivery.
You will work directly with Xometry’s manufacturing partners, internal teams, and customers to solve engineering challenges and support production execution.
Evaluate customer designs for manufacturability and recommend improvements using Xometry’s technologies and capabilities.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies that ensure quality and cost efficiency.
Support production troubleshooting to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
Interface with machine shops, fabrication partners, internal teams, and clients to drive project success.
