Requirements

5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development of hardware systems

Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or NX for detailed design and assembly modeling

Experience performing structural and thermal analyses using analytical or finite element methods

Familiarity with GD&T principles and engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.5)

Working knowledge of materials selection, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability

Experience with space systems hardware development including satellites, launch vehicles, or payloads

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical hardware components and assemblies for the TeraWave satellite constellation and ground systems

Perform structural analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance stack-ups to validate designs meet mission requirements

Develop and maintain detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in accordance with program standards

Support hardware integration and test activities, including environmental testing such as vibration, thermal vacuum, and shock

Collaborate with systems engineers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams to define mechanical requirements and interfaces

Generate and review engineering documentation including design specifications, analysis reports, and test procedures
