Requirements
Minimum 12+ years of experience in media sales and sales leadership, with a proven track record of closing sophisticated, multi-platform partnerships with major brands and agencies
Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, non-traditional revenue opportunities, including sponsored content, branded integrations, and advanced programmatic solutions
Strong relationships with senior brand, marketing, and agency decision-makers, including experience navigating complex buying structures
Proven strength in negotiation and deal structuring, with the ability to balance client value and business outcomes

Responsibilities
Develop and grow direct relationships with CMOs and senior brand leaders to create high-impact, scalable media partnerships that extend beyond traditional ad buys
Execute a creative, marketing-first approach to sales by building cross-platform solutions that leverage TEGNA’s TV, streaming, and digital portfolio, including sponsored programming and custom content integrations
Build and expand relationships with large digital agencies and holding company partners to drive direct programmatic (e.g., Programmatic Guaranteed deals) and CTV revenue
Support the development and execution of a third-party monetization strategy, partnering with external platforms and vendors to optimize and sell TEGNA inventory
Personally source, structure, and close complex, high-value brand and agency deals, owning a defined book of business and revenue target, while coordinating with local and national sales partners as appropriate

Vice President of Brand & Network Sales
to deliver TEGNA’s audiences and solutions across all platforms (TV, Streaming, and Digital) to leading brands and agencies purchasing audiences across Network media.
The VP of Brand & Network Sales is responsible for developing and executing a national brand and network sales strategy that unlocks incremental demand alongside the inherent advertiser opportunity in our 51 local markets. This role will drive measurable revenue growth from brand and agency partners and support the continued evolution of TEGNA’s revenue mix.
What this job is: a hands-on, highly visible sales leadership role that requires extensive face-to-face engagement with clients, agencies, and partners, and a strong personal contribution to deal-making.
