Responsibilities
The Supervising Engineer is responsible for engineering activities in the design centers; including the direct supervision of electrical engineers, and the recruitment, training, development, and appraisal of engineering personnel and the coordination of their work with the design center leadership team and other Ameren departments.
Ensure outstanding safety results by participating in design center safety activities, generating ideas for improved safety performance, and utilizing all proper personal protective equipment.
Provide assistance and technical support to engineers, Design Center Engineering Representatives and Distribution Design Associates, Specialist and Sr.
Specialist for the proper application of rates, rules/regulations and policies, and project coordination from design to construction. This may include analyzing customer requirements, specifying company facilities needed, and assuring tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner. The role also provides support to Region supervising engineers and managers.
Provide direction on and identify project assignments, review of accurate project estimates and ensure that all project is engineered in accordance with Ameren Distribution Construction Standards.
Oversee Joint Use engineering PLAs and PCAs in support of construction, operations, and maintenance budget development.
