Requirements

Experience leading or building a Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or technical pre-sales team supporting enterprise/strategic accounts at an infrastructure, database, or analytics company.

Hands-on background as a Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer, with deep credibility in technical, high-stakes sales cycles.

Strong understanding of distributed systems, SQL/OLAP databases, and the modern data stack (streaming, orchestration, BI, cloud infrastructure).

Proven ability to operate as an executive-level technical sponsor, comfortable presenting to and negotiating with C-level stakeholders at large enterprises.

Strong cross-functional collaborator, able to influence Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership without direct authority.

Data-driven approach to managing a team and a book of business, with comfort defining and tracking meaningful pipeline and technical-win metrics.

Responsibilities

Build, lead, and scale the Enterprise & Strategic Solutions Architecture team across AMER, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.

Own the technical win strategy for Enterprise and Strategic opportunities, personally engaging on the highest-stakes evaluations and executive relationships alongside your team.

Partner with Sales leadership to build territory and account plans, set technical engagement standards, and ensure SAs are deployed against the highest-impact opportunities.

Define and evolve the team's methodology for technical discovery, proof of concept execution, architecture design, and competitive positioning.

Represent the field in cross-functional planning with Product and Engineering, translating patterns from enterprise deals into structured input on roadmap, packaging, and pricing.

Build scalable enablement: playbooks, reference architectures, demo environments, and competitive battle cards that raise the bar for the entire team.
