Assists special education teachers with classroom duties, including, but not limited to  recording grades, preparing instructional materials, and administering instructional and testing accommodations.

Assists the special education teacher by supporting students during instructional activities (e.g., one-on-one, in small groups, during whole group instruction) as directed by the special education teacher.

Assists students onto and off the school bus and supervises students at lunch, recess as indicated in the child’s IEP.

Serves as an aide on the school bus, both to and from school, as indicated in the child’s IEP.

Works with students under the direction of the special education teacher(s) and related services providers, as appropriate, to implement the child’s IEP.

Participates in training s and implementing support for students related to toileting, personal care, and basic healthcare related needs (e.g., using a Hoyer lift, tube feeding, seizure intervention) as indicated in the child’s IEP.
