Bachelor’s degree

Accounting classes and work experience required.

1-4 years of related accounting/reporting experience or public audit experience.

Analytical and accounting skills commensurate with experience level.

Solid understanding of accounting principles.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  Listens with comprehension, asks questions for clarification.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The

Property

Accountant

enjoys an assigned mentor, a defined career path, access to established training resources, and a hybrid work schedule all within a company that recognizes property accounting's contribution to its ongoing success.  This accountant will gain valuable experience with full cycle G/L accounting.  He or she will ensure that the financial statements for their portfolio are completed timely and accurately.  This includes a detailed review of monthly financial statements and general ledger along with reviewing daily transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies.  Additionally, Accountants assist the Property Management team with the completion of Annual Budgets and Reconciliations.
