Requirements
Advanced technical expertise in cloud engineering, data engineering, and platform architecture (especially Azure and PostgreSQL/PostGIS).
Strong front-end and back-end development skills, with experience building scalable, user-centered systems.
Experience with process automation, system integration, and deployment of emerging technologies such as LLMs.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, iterative development, and prototyping.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
Design and implement technical architectures that align with organizational strategy and citywide goals.
Lead the development and deployment of integrated automation, data, and workflow solutions that streamline city operations.
Build and maintain internal tools, platforms, and prototypes, applying best practices in front-end and back-end development.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including cloud services (Azure), data pipelines, and Large Language Models (LLMs), to accelerate digital transformation.
Collaborate with OPI colleagues, BCIT, and external partners to resolve disconnected systems and create unified, user-friendly digital experiences.
Apply Agile methodologies and lead iterative design and delivery processes for technical solutions.
