Requirements
5 - 15 years of experience with intellectual property litigation
Experience taking/defending depositions required
Experience with privacy, AI and data governance and/or data privacy litigation is strongly preferred, interest in developing expertise
Experience with advertising law, art law, fashion law, internet law and/or transactional matters is a plus
Demonstrated track record of thought leadership in IP is a strong plus
Handle sophisticated matters alongside experienced attorneys and partners
Responsibilities
Wilson Elser's Intellectual Property and Technology Team seeks an Attorney with a strong litigation background to join a fast-paced and dynamic national team focused on Intellectual Property and Technology transactional law and litigation; privacy, AI and data governance; internet law; advertising law and other related industry-specific areas to take the next step in their career by becoming part of a national law firm with a wide range of resources and opportunities.
Day-to-day management a litigation caseload and counsel clients in the areas of IP, data privacy technology and AI governance/compliance.
Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects.
Act as part of a team that prosecutes and defends lawsuits involving copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and trade libel, data privacy (including online tracking technologies), rights of privacy/rights of publicity;
Advise clients on data privacy compliance, AI governance, and data governance matters, including preparation and review or privacy notices, internal privacy and security policies, procedures and controls, third party risk management, risk assessments, and internal training for clients on these matters
Advise clients on a wide range of transactional matters including purchase and sale agreements for creative assets, collaboration agreements, software development agreements, licensing agreements, etc.
