Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of nursing operations within the assigned clinical area to ensure the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of patient care.
The role integrates clinical practice oversight with operational management, ensuring that nursing care is planned, delivered, and evaluated in accordance with established standards of care, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
The Nurse Manager oversees clinical activities, workflows, and staffing to support consistent implementation of the nursing process and to promote quality, safety, and patient-centered outcomes.
The role supports departmental and organizational goals by ensuring nursing services are aligned with hospital priorities, performance expectations, and patient care standards.
Provide unit-level leadership and operational oversight: Ensure consistent delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with departmental goals, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
Supervise and manage assigned clinical and non-clinical staff: Direct daily operations, assign work, monitor performance, and address workforce issues in accordance with established personnel policies, labor agreements, and budgetary parameters.
