Requirements

Demonstrated track record of business development, including the ability to generate new work and leverage an existing network of clients and industry contacts.

Experience overseeing various biophysical assessments, including wildlife, species at risk, vegetation, wetland and aquatics surveys.

Experience related to transmission line and renewable energy construction would be an asset.

Experience with routing and siting studies and/or Environmental Assessments would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead projects related to completing environmental assessments (EA), biophysical surveys, permitting, and regulatory approvals under Ontario and federal legislation.

Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and environmental management plans.

Provide guidance on environmental constraints, mitigation strategies, and construction best practices.

Provide environmental support during construction, including oversight and coordination of daily environmental compliance activities, including but not limited to environmental construction monitoring, environmental surveys, water crossing installations, wildlife and amphibian sweep programs, during the construction of energy projects.

Lead business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and cultivating long-term client relationships to support the growth of environmental consulting services.

Act as a point of contact for the Client and Construction Contractor(s), as well as regulatory agencies.
