Requirements
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Broad experience interacting with computer security personnel to provide input to computer security plans, ensuring computer security compliance, monitoring systems for general health, security incidents, and other events, and developing security configurations that meet cyber requirements.
Broad experience with software development practices.
Experience with Linux environments and configurations.
Broad experience providing innovative approaches and applying new technologies to broadly defined tasks and projects.

We have an opening for a
Platform Solution Engineer
. You will work with researchers on helping utilize cloud native technologies for their research and applications. This position will play a key role in helping to define and develop a cutting edge on-prem cloud native computing platform. This position is in the Global Security Computing Applications Division (GS-CAD) in Computing, matrixed to the Global Security Directorate.
This position requires part-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
