Requirements
Required
:
One or more years recent experience working as a clinic assistant in a physician office or hospital setting; or completion of a training program in a medically related field; or currently enrolled in a medically related college degree program with an intent of entering the healthcare field
Basic Life Support Certification from an American Heart Association accredited source within 90 days if being hired for The Health Network. Basic Life Support Certification is required effective day one if being hired in the Academic Medical System (central region).
High school diploma or equivalent.

The
Clinic Assistant (CA)
is a multi-skilled worker who assumes a wide range of clinical and administrative roles within the physician office setting. Under the supervision of a Physician and/or the direction of a licensed nurse, the CA provides direct and indirect patient care, performs laboratory and other testing, and may assist with clerical functions. The CA serves as a key team player when interacting and communicating with patients and/or clinical staff in the ambulatory care environment.
