Responsibilities

Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support rating and pricing, valuation, healthcare economics, and financial forecasting.

Under general guidance, this role applies knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to provide technical actuarial support.

The Actuarial Analyst works closely with a team of actuaries to ensure a coordinated approach to health program analysis and provides support to Network Management, Underwriting, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Healthcare teams.

Performs actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses and calculations.

Calculates premiums and reserves of new and existing plans of insurance.

Provides support to senior analysts or actuaries as required.
