Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2+ years of manual machining experience or relevant technical training
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet productivity and quality standards

is hiring a
Manual Machinist
in the
Metropolis, IL
Shipyard. The machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machine shop equipment to manufacture, modify, and repair precision components. This role requires strong blueprint-reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to close tolerances in both shop and field environments. The machinist supports production, maintenance, and custom fabrication while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
