Responsibilities
Planet is seeking a dynamic, self-starting Communications Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 term. This is an ideal opportunity for a student or recent graduate eager to dive into the world of Earth observation technology and global storytelling.
As an intern, you won't just be watching from the sidelines; you’ll be an active participant in high-stakes moments, including upcoming launches and high-visibility executive speaking opportunities. You will support the team in monitoring the media landscape, drafting content for our owned channels, and helping us maintain the operational "engine" of the communications department.
The successful candidate is organized, curious, and energized by the prospect of turning complex satellite data into compelling narratives. This role reports to the Communications Manager (US - remote).
This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week.
