Requirements
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering discipline preferred.
5-7 years work experience in a related role, or related field of heavy industrial, process or construction engineering.
Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) and/or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred
5 or more years of experience implementing RCM, CbM/PdM methods
Self-motivated, independent, capable of performing work with limited instruction. Dependable, thriving in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with a clear focus on safety, high quality outcomes and business success.
Proven ability to read, comprehend and apply information from technical manuals and other reference design documents
Responsibilities
Provide technical and business support to Safety, Environmental, Development, Commercial, and O&M teams, as well as individuals in the operating businesses and future development projects, and for daily operations.
Perform asset management strategy implementation, power plant processes and design improvements, capital spending justification, equipment malfunction troubleshooting, failure analysis, annual budget planning, and corrective action recommendations.
Actively collaborate with the maintenance and planning/scheduling groups in support of maintaining complete and accurate records/plans within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) related to equipment, specifications data, BOM, failure history, etc.
Assist with the development and implementation of the annual AES Southland engineering plan and budget, that includes factors for work management, long-term maintenance planning, outage preparation and execution, large project preparation and execution, and compliance with NERC and other applicable standards.
Prepare data-driven justification for capital project prioritization and budget planning.
Make informed recommendations in situations where data sets may be incomplete.
