Responsibilities
Pharmacist is a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant verification of prescriptions processed during the shift. This position focuses on the second stage of prescription verification (PV2), providing a final review before fulfillment and shipment to patients. The PV2 Pharmacist must work efficiently in a high-volume production environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations.
This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to operational excellence to support the pharmacy's 24/7 fulfillment model. This position offers the flexibility to transition into a senior management roles based on the employee's performance and capabilities.
Prescription Verification: perform PV2 verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with legal requirements
Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, including DEA and FDA guidelines, while maintaining accurate records
Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in prescriptions to ensure medication safety and accuracy before fulfillment
