2+ years of experience in pre-sales systems engineering, solutions architecture, or related technical customer-facing roles, supporting SMB to Mid-Market customers.

Demonstrated ability to proactively own technical execution for assigned sales opportunities, driving progress across discovery, solution design, technical validation, and proof-of-concept (POC) activities.

Strong foundational technical background across enterprise infrastructure domains, including data resilience, compute and virtualization platforms, cloud services, networking, and security, with the ability to apply this knowledge to customer challenges and business objectives.

Ability to identify technical risks, gaps, and dependencies early, and work collaboratively with sales and internal teams to address them and keep opportunities moving forward.

Working knowledge of data security, privacy, governance, and regulatory considerations that influence enterprise IT and data protection strategies.

Foundational understanding of AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs), with the ability to explain how trusted, resilient, and well-governed data enables modern analytics and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Velocity Pre-Sales Systems Engineer at Veeam, you will serve as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to enterprise customers navigating some of their most critical technology decisions.

You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders — including C-level executives, senior IT leadership, enterprise architects, engineers, and IT practitioners — helping them design resilient, secure, and future-ready data platforms that support real business outcomes.

You will operate at the intersection of technology strategy, architecture, and real-world operations — engaging deeply in technical design while also influencing executive conversations around data resilience, cyber recovery, risk reduction, and modernization.

Your ability to connect technical depth with business relevance is what earns trust and drives meaningful change.

You will help customers modernize across on-premises, hybrid, multi-cloud, and SaaS environments, ensuring data resilience, security, and governance are foundational to everything they build.

Lead complex pre-sales engagements, including discovery, architecture design, solution positioning, and technical validation.
