Requirements

2+ Years of experience working as a controls engineer or in a similar equivalent position.

Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical, industrial, other relevant fields of study OR equivalent work experience.

Working knowledge of industrial control system platforms including Allen Bradley PLC, HMI, VFD, and other control component configuration.

Working knowledge of current relevant industry design standards and codes such as NFPA, ANSI, ISO, etc.

Responsibilities

The Controls Engineer is focused on improving existing and commissioning new metal processing equipment and processes, and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise in controls engineering, equipment design, process optimization, and troubleshooting.

Job responsibilities include:

Maintain consistent quality, drive process efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards in high-volume production environments

Assist in commissioning new equipment and in performing upgrades/retrofits to existing equipment.

Provide troubleshooting support to the process maintenance team as needed.
