The Export Transloading Mechanic position at JBS, based on site in Charleston, North Carolina, is responsible for safely and efficiently performing troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and all duties associated with maintaining transload equipment and facility operations. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical components, testing equipment, and working collaboratively with production team members to support a smooth workflow. The role involves repairing and maintaining all aspects of the transload facility, with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and occasional weekend shifts as required. On-call duties are also expected, and all identified issues must be addressed before the end of each shift.

Construct, maintain, and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.

Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.

Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments efficiently and accurately.

Interpret equipment drawings to properly adjust, maintain, or repair machinery according to specifications.
