MSL/Senior MSL, Dermatology - Tampa, Florida

Advanced degree required (i.e., Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, APP (i.e.: Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner) in a relevant scientific discipline. Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline.

Typically requires a minimum of 2+ years relevant experience.

Must be able to identify, analyze, and translate specific territory and corporate needs to support internal and external customers and achieve business and clinical objectives.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and other software skills; Excellent written/verbal communication skills;

Strong interpersonal skills, presentation, and teaching skills; Ability to work independently and in a team structure; Ability to adjust effectively to work within new structures, processes, requirements, or cultures; Strong planning and organizational skills; team and leadership skills

An essential requirement of the position is to meet health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to enter facilities and organizations in your assigned territory. These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The MSL/Senior MSL is a field based scientific expert that strategically supports the research and business objectives of a designated therapeutic area across the product life cycle for a specific geography/territory

The MSL/Senior MSL is the primary communicator of AbbVie science within a specific geography with healthcare professionals.

The MSL/Senior MSL develops and maintains professional relationships with internal and external customers to provide comprehensive medical and scientific support to AbbVie initiatives in assigned therapeutic areas.

The MSL/Senior MSL is viewed as a peer scientific expert in a designated therapeutic area/product.

Combined with strong strategic vision, market therapeutic area awareness, as well as clinical expertise, the MSL/Senior MSL serve as a conduit of information, education, and research activities for physicians and ancillary healthcare professionals regarding current and future therapies in development or commercialized by AbbVie.

The MSL/Senior MSL works closely with other AbbVie personnel to ensure information, education, and research needs of healthcare professionals are met and to ensure scientific and technical training needs of commercial organizations are identified and met.
