A master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.

A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S.

Extensive experience with General Electric Grid EMS/DMS systems.

In Depth knowledge of NERC CIP cyber security standards.

Broad experience with Electric Transmission systems, including NERC transmission reliability standards (BA, TOP, etc.)

Comprehensive experience with real time computer systems, including programming languages (C++, FORTRAN, etc.), scripting languages (PERL, etc.).

The Senior Engineer identifies problems, develops solutions and takes action to resolve

Provides engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of complex EMS problems with the ability to visualize long-term results and assess impacts on a system-wide basis.

Conducts engineering and related studies with full technical responsibility for planning and coordinating complex projects; applies extensive technical expertise to manage projects and disseminate knowledge to enhance the organizational unit's competitive position.

Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures; demonstrates ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes and develops standards relevant to the EMS.  Keeps abreast of new developments, technologies procedures and equipment.

Works with IT and EMS teammates to ensure proper cyber security, NERC and O&P compliance for EMS environment.

Maintains and exercises in depth knowledge of EMS advanced software applications (State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Network)
