Requirements

Solve complex safety problems with an agile, experience-based approach as programs scale toward Games-time.

Required Competencies

In-depth knowledge of health and safety program management, regulatory requirements (Cal-OSHA specifically), and industry practices.

Strong leadership and team-management skills across multiple technical safety disciplines.

Ability to solve complex functional problems using an agile, experience-based approach.

Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience; OR Master's degree and at least 5 years of experience; OR 9+ years of specialized work experience.

The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $140,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the H&S technical and governance function, spanning Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental and Public Health, Emergency Preparedness, and Safety Training and Communication.

Establish and manage the processes, systems, tools, and large projects that deliver H&S programs successfully.

Serve as the primary point of contact for technical H&S programs, liaising with internal customers and peer leaders across departments.

Ensure programs meet regulatory requirements, including Cal-OSHA, and reflect current industry practice.
