Responsibilities
The Patient Account Representative is responsible for processing insurance claims, verifying policy information, and ensuring accurate billing.
This role tracks payments, follows up on outstanding balances, and communicates with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing discrepancies.
Additional responsibilities may include managing accounts receivable, reconciling financial records, and generating reports for management.
Ability to answer patient and telephone inquiries related to billed claims with courtesy and thoroughness.
Ability to perform billing functions within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
