Clinical Extern (Nursing) - Princess Margaret Cancer Centre

Must be a Nursing Student between 2nd and 4th year of a College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) approved Baccalaureate Nursing (BScN or BN) program

Must be available a minimum of 18.75 hours per week, and have a flexible availability

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre has 12 site groups and 26 specialty clinics, and almost 3,000 staff who see over 400,000 patient visits every year.

Its 800,000 square feet house 130 inpatient beds, 373,000 square feet of research space and 17 radiation treatment machines, making it one of the largest comprehensive cancer treatment facilities in the world and the largest radiation treatment centre in Canada.

The clinical extern will be working as part of a team in the capacity of an unregulated health care provider.

Clinical externs work in collaboration with a unit under direct and/or indirect supervision of a Registered Health Professional in the care environment.
