Senior Business Systems Analyst - AI Enablement

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree plus at least 8 years of experience in process analysis, process mapping, and/or business analysis roles, or demonstrated equivalent experience and education

Demonstrated experience leading process discovery and stakeholder engagement across complex business environments

Strong ability to design and communicate future-state processes and translate them into clear requirements and documentation

Experience applying or evaluating AI-enabled or intelligent automation concepts within business processes at a system or outcome level

Strong written communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights

AECOM is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst focused on AI Enablement to help shape how the business operates today and how it evolves for the future. This role sits at the intersection of business processes, systems thinking, and AI-enabled transformation.

The primary focus of this role is understanding complex business workflows and identifying where AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent automation, and decision-support systems can improve operational performance and scalability.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to uncover how processes truly function, define intended outcomes and success measures, and identify opportunities where AI can augment decision-making, automate complex workflows, or introduce operational intelligence.

This role is responsible for helping design AI-ready processes. That includes defining clear process intent, decision boundaries, data requirements, human-in-the-loop controls, and measurable outcomes so that AI-enabled systems can operate safely, explainably, and with sustained business value.

This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work, to be based from either Houston or Dallas, TX.
