The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.

Responsibilities
As an Expert of Science & Technology in Downstream Process Development, you will play a key role in advancing model‑based development and decision making for biologics purification processes.
You will develop, apply, and deploy mechanistic and hybrid models with a strong focus on covering downstream unit operations and their interconnection into integrated process flows.
This role combines deep scientific expertise, hands‑on experience in the experimental work, design, execution of process development activities, building and adopting AI fluency and digital implementation.
As a Science & Technology Expert, you will play a key role in advancing the development and optimization of biologics processes through process modeling, advanced analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence.
You will develop and implement mechanistic and data-driven models to improve process understanding, predict process behavior, support decision-making, accelerate development, and enhance process robustness and technology transfer to manufacturing.
You will work closely with project teams, process development scientists, data scientists, and manufacturing stakeholders, and you will be an active member of a global modelling community shaping the future of downstream development at Novartis.
