Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Engineering to lead, grow, and scale our engineering organization. As VP of Engineering, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for the overall health and output of our engineering function. You will own the delivery of BlastPoint's products, set the technical direction alongside the CEO, and build a high-performing team culture rooted in speed, quality, and collaboration.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced startup environments, brings deep experience managing and mentoring software engineering teams, and has a strong technical foundation in data-intensive systems. You will be expected to remove roadblocks, accelerate development velocity, and help us scale from a small, nimble team to a robust engineering organization—all while keeping the scrappy, builder mindset that got us here.
Lead, manage, and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Define and own the long-term technical strategy and architecture vision, ensuring alignment with company objectives, scalability requirements, and market opportunities.
Partner with the CEO, CTO, and Product team to translate business strategy into a long-term engineering roadmap with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.
