Requirements
8+ years of experience working as a data developer with at least 4 years specifically focused on Data Governance
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data management best practices including experience implementing metadata management, data catalogs, lineage and data quality tools
Deep expertise in SQL and Python and working knowledge of modern data stack components (dbt, Airflow, Kafka, or Spark).
Experience implementing AI/ML initiatives in data pipelines to drive data governance
Proficiency working in cloud environments (e.g. Snowflake)
Responsibilities
You will help operationalize the data governance program by designing and developing tools to automate data discovery, metadata extraction and data lineage tracking
Partner with Data Architects to design "governance-by-design" schemas
Build integrations between our data lake and governance catalog
You will operate and maintain the technical features of the data catalog used to define data, document its metadata, and collect lineage.
You will ensure data is fit for purpose by following the defined data quality framework to manage the development, delivery and maintenance of of data quality rules, both at rest and in motion
You will drive development efforts to implement enterprise-wide data governance initiatives such as a Master Data Management solution, Data Quality dashboards and a Data Marketplace.
