Laboratory Analyst - Petrology & Advanced Imaging

BSc. Degree in Geology

Experience in petrographic microscopy, SEM, QEM Scan and Thin section equipment

Previous lab experience is an asset

Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written

Attention to detail with good organizational skills

Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Perform petrographic analysis using reflected and transmitted light microscopes

Conduct point counting and capture photomicrographs

Operate SEM for imaging and EDS-based mineral/chemical analysis

Run and interpret QEMSCAN analyses (mineral mapping, liberation, associations)

Maintain and update QEMSCAN mineral libraries

Review and ensure quality of thin section and polished sample preparation
