Responsibilities

The Building Automation Systems (BAS) / HVAC / Utilities Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing building management systems (BMS), HVAC equipment, and facility utility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance supporting production, packaging, occupant comfort, and compliance requirements.

Under minimal supervision, the technician supports the maintenance program and utilities operations by coordinating and performing predictive/preventive maintenance; diagnosing system and instrument issues; ordering parts; completing repairs on HVAC, utilities, and related electrical/mechanical equipment; and planning, scheduling, and documenting work across production, packaging, and facility infrastructure areas as needed.

Building Automation Systems (BAS)

Monitor and maintain building automation and control systems (Schneider Electric Building Operation or similar).

Troubleshoot BMS communication issues, sensors, controllers, valves, actuators, VFDs and network components.

Support modifications to control logic, setpoints, and schedules to optimize system performance.
