Requirements

Nice to have:

8+ years of highway/DOT construction experience

Prior experience serving as a UDOT Resident Engineer

Strong knowledge of UDOT standards, specifications, and contract administration

Responsibilities

Perform construction management duties as the Resident Engineer or UDOT on transportation projects in southern Utah

Oversee contractors, field crews, inspectors, and support staff

Manage construction projects to ensure full compliance with UDOT plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements, while providing thorough documentation and quality control

Administer contracts including RFIs, change orders, pay estimates, and claims documentation

Coordinate directly with UDOT personnel, contractors, municipalities, and stakeholders

Conduct site inspections and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies
