Responsibilities

This position analyzes daily profit and loss activity, prepares financial estimates, resolves discrepancies, and ensures the accuracy of contract data for the NAM Grains and Oilseeds and Coffee Divisions of Louis Dreyfus Company. This position serves as a point of contact for any questions on daily profit and loss.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Reviews the daily profit and loss (P&L) reports and ensures the accuracy of daily reported P&L.

Routinely validates with supporting documentation the market prices used to value positions.

Independently reconciles complicated discrepancies related to contracts, scheduling and invoicing; collaborates with Logistics and Execution personnel to resolve any problems/issues that may affect the daily P&L.

Responds to questions from trading and platform personnel related to movements in the P&L data; researches and explains causes of discrepancies between actual P&L movements and P&L movements that are anticipated by the traders.
