\u2022 Strong copyediting and proofreading skills, with a keen attention to detail.

\u2022 Knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style.

\u2022 Strong MS Word skills and knowledge of electronic copyediting and PDF markup. Knowledge of electronic styling is a plus.

\u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

\u2022 Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines by prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.

\u2022 Traffic books to meet deadlines and ensure overall quality.

\u2022 Work closely with various in-house departments including Editorial, Design, and Production

\u2022 Copyedit, proofread, and route jacket and cover materials from original copy through final proof

\u2022 Collate and review corrections between passes

\u2022 Style electronic manuscripts in MS Word in preparation for copyediting.
