Project Controls Specialist – Owner's Representative (Edmonton, AB)

Owner's representative experience on complex capital projects with mission-critical or 24/7 operational components

Oil & gas or energy sector client experience (corporate facilities, campus developments)

Experience coordinating non-construction elements (FF&E, IT infrastructure, commissioning, move management)

Familiarity with PMIS platforms (Procore, Aconex) or cost management systems (EcoSys, Prism)

You'll manage the client's master schedule, validate contractor progress, and coordinate across GCs, vendors, and internal client teams on complex, long-duration projects (24+ months).

This role requires independence, regular site presence, and the ability to challenge vendor claims while maintaining collaborative relationships.

Develop and maintain integrated master schedules incorporating inputs from GCs, vendors, owner departments, IT/telecom, and FF&E providers

Conduct regular site visits (multiple times weekly during construction) to verify physical progress against contractor claims and challenge inconsistencies

Interface with client stakeholders and contractor teams to drive schedule alignment, multi-party coordination, and issue resolution

Coordinate construction activities around operational constraints (24/7 facilities, server rooms, control centers)
