The Interim Associate Educator supports the planning, facilitation, and promotion of the Smart Museum’s educational and public arts programming. The position supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of public and educational programs, playing a vital role in advancing the Museum’s mission of community engagement and arts education. This is a part-time, temporary position of approximately 20 hours per week.

Serves as public ambassador for the Smart Museum and facilitates arts programming, including public art learning tours and activities, family day programs, artist talks, artmaking, and other events.

Organizes tasks related to K-12 and family programs including coordination, calendaring, paperwork, and communications.

Prepares and proofreads related content for social media, the website, and other communications materials.

Regularly attends meetings, learning and engagement programs, and community events with the Smart Museum.
